Buzz-worthy bridal hair tutorial: try a vintage beehive!

Do you like Brekafast at Tiffany’s? Does your dream wedding dress feature a miniskirt? Do you consider Audrey Hepburn to be a style icon? Do you have a penchant for all things vintage? Would you go back to the 1960s if Doc Brown rocked up in a time-travelling DeLorean and promised to take you whenever you wanted to go? If the answer to any of those questions is a resounding yes, a beehive might just be the perfect wedding hairstyle for you!

If you’re in the market for a fancy wedding ‘do, a classic beehive or bouffant hairstyle is a gorgeous look and one that looks great with accessories, too. It’s full of volume and will showcase your makeup beautifully without overwhelming your look.

If you would like to try this style at home ahead of your big day, just follow the easy tutorial below!

Step one

After washing and towel-drying your hair, scrunch some Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse evenly throughout. Then, blow-dry using a paddle brush to guide the hair straight. Once it’s almost dry, flip your head upside down and blast the roots for immediate lift.

Step two

Part your hair on one side then section off a couple of inches off at the front. Clip this section up while you work on the rest.

Step three

Spray the roots on top of your head and at the crown with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray then tease to build volume. Smooth some loose hair, from the front section you clipped up, over the top then pin at the back. Bump the hair forward as you pin to give your beehive some more height.

Step four

Gather the rest of your hair into a French twist and pin. Unclip the rest of the hair at the front then tuck or pin it behind your ears. Spray liberally all over with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray and you’re all set!

What do you think? Could this be the hairstyle you’ll walk down the aisle with?
