How to get Freida Pinto’s Fashion Week updo

Get the look

This hairstyle works differently depending on how long your hair is. Essentially, having longer hair opens up more options while anyone with a shorter cut can reap the rewards of less styling time… and use those precious extra minutes to fine-tune the rest of their beauty look!

Option 1: If you have shoulder-length hair or a little shorter, this look is super easy. Gently tease the top layers and then sweep the hair back, securing with bobby pins into a slightly volumized half-up style. Then, gather the rest of your hair into a small bun and secure. Use your fingers to lightly muss the hair and tease a few small, wispy strands loose to soften the look. Spray with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray and you’re good to go.

Option 2: For shoulder-length hair or longer, you can try a French twist. To do this, sweep all your hair over to one side, using a brush. Use booby pins to secure it. Next, roll the hair back around into a banana shape and secure again with more bobby pins. Again, you can use your hands to gently muss this style for added texture and tease a few strands loose to soften the look. Fix with hairspray and your updo is complete!

Happy styling!
