Lea Michele hair tutorial: recreate her high-shine waves

Lea Michele’s red carpet hairstyle repertoire just keeps on giving! Recently, the L’Oréal Paris spokesperson attended the 15th Annual Hollywood Bowl Opening Night Concert with an impressively shiny, wavy mane. The Glee actress didn’t just go for yet another replica of Old Hollywood’s favorite hairstyle (though, as Blake Lively proves, this is never a bad thing), opting instead for an understatedly glamorous, modern version of the classic side-swept ‘do.

If you would like to try this red carpet look at home, just follow the tutorial below.

Step one

Shiny, healthy-looking hair requires plenty of moisture so start by applying a hydrating conditioner after shampooing your hair. You should also treat your locks to a mask every now and then, too.

Step two

Apply Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Frizz Vanisher Cream to damp, towel-dried hair then blow-dry in sections with a round brush. Wrap each one all the way around the brush and glide the brush through to the ends as the section dries. When the hair falls off the brush, gather it loosely in the palm of your hand and spray with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control hairspray then pin it up to cool.

Repeat this step until all of your hair is dry then let the curls down.

Step three

Part your hair on one side then brush it through to give you more of a unified wave. On the side with less hair, you can French-braid or just pin the hair at the nape of your neck to help keep the bulk of your tresses on the other side.

Step four

Finger-comb the waves to make them appear a little more natural then spray your whole style with Bold Control Hairspray to finish.

Et voilà, your new wavy look is complete!
